James Gingery, Ph.D, P.E.
James is Chief Engineer for Keller. He has over twenty-five years of experience in geotechnical and earthquake engineering for water, energy, transportation, industrial/commercial and residential projects. Dr. Gingery has specialized expertise in liquefaction and lateral spreading, ground improvement design, and numerical modeling of soil and soil-structure interaction problems. He’s published more than two dozen technical papers for journals and conferences. He holds an M.S. in geotechnical engineering from U.C. Berkeley and a Ph.D. in geotechnical earthquake engineering from U.C. San Diego. In 2015 he was awarded the Shamsher Prakash Prize for Excellence in the Practice of Geotechnical Engineering.
