An estimated four thousand cubic meters of rock came loose from a cliff face above the site, before destroying most of the 300-year-old building. Huge scars were left in the hillside where the jagged rocks had rolled, with surrounding vineyards also left badly damaged. No one was injured in the incident. Report by Sophie Foster.
