This one-day hands-on course for up to 6 delegates includes detailed training on the use of the HoleBASE SI Extension for AutoCAD Civil 3D and the Autodesk Geotechnical Module. The relevant core AutoCAD Civil 3D skills which are most relevant to the Geotechnical industry will also be covered. The course is broadly organised as follows:

• Review course objectives Overview of AutoCAD Civil 3D functionality
• Overview of the extension and module functionality
• Create, style and manage boreholes data
• Create, style and manage and strata surfaces
• Create dynamic geotechnical profiles with borehole logs
• Use AutoCAD Civil 3D functionality to edit and manipulate strata surfaces including:
• Modelling Faults
• Modelling Zones and Lenses
• Creating a Fence diagram
• Q&A

Course Requirements:

This course has been compiled with Geotechnical Engineers and CAD Technicians in mind who have some experience on using AutoCAD. Delegates considering this course should have the following experience:

• Familiarity with Site Investigation
• A working knowledge of AutoCAD
• A working knowledge of Microsoft® Windows® XP or later
