Nicholson’s PortMiami Tunnel project has been included in KPMG International’s "Infrastructure 100: World Cities Edition," a report of the world’s most innovative and inspiring urban infrastructure projects. Congratulations to everyone involved with this great project!
The tunnel project is featured in the urban mobility section of the publication and is one of only 14 U.S.-based projects, according to the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau. The project is called the Port of Miami Tunnel project in the publication since it began prior to the port's name change to PortMiami.
“The project’s construction and eventual delivery is being heralded as a triumph of engineering and city planning,” KPMG wrote.
The PortMiami Tunnel is to connect the port with the MacArthur Causeway and is scheduled for completion in May 2014.
